Getting Started

Thanks for your interested in Brew Renew! We’d love to work with you, please read below to learn more about the requirements we need to service your fields.

Field Criteria & Requirements

Before scheduling your application, please ensure your field meets these requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • We require a minimum entry width of 12ft and a minimum clearance height of 12ft. Our trucks are 36ft long so tight turning entries may also restrict access. We also have load-bearing requirements for bridge/ canal crossings.

  • We are unable to service any pasture under 2 acres. in size

  • We require the pasture to be dry prior to arrival. We will not service recently irrigated, flooded or boggy pastures as there is a high likelihood of the trucks becoming bogged and/ or damaging your pasture.

  • We do not regularly service properties outside our service boundary. See the Area of service map. However feel free to reach out and get on the list for other areas we may service from time to time.

  • We do not provide Trub for nonagricultural uses.

  • The field should not have been irrigated within 72 hours of application

Ideal Conditions:

  • Relatively level terrain (some slope is acceptable)

  • Established grass or crops, or bare field ready for amendment

  • Clearly defined boundaries

  • No grazing animals present during application

We Can Work With:

  • Multiple fields at the same property

  • Irregular shaped fields

  • Fields with marked hazards or areas to avoid

  • Pastures, hay fields, and crop land

Not Suitable:

  • Extremely steep slopes where liquid runoff would occur

  • Fields with active irrigation running

  • Areas with livestock present

  • Waterlogged or flooded fields

Step 1: Site Visit

All fields need to be inspected by our team prior to being set up as a client. This is a one-time paid visit to your location to make sure that your property meets Brew Renew’s Criteria. If this is your first time using Brew Renew, head to the Contact Us page to schedule a site visit.

Step 2: Hold Harmless Agreement

All Brew Renew clients must sign our Hold Harmless agreement found here and email to info@getbrewrenew.com

Step 3: Choose Your Application Preference

Application Amount:

  • Single pass: Best for actively growing grass

  • Double pass: Ideal for dormant grass

  • Triple pass: Recommended for new fields or before reseeding

Service Type:

  • One-time application

  • Yearly roster (we'll contact you before each application)

Preparing Your Field

72 Hours Before:

  • Stop irrigating your field

Day Before Application:

  • Remove all animals from the pasture

  • Move irrigation equipment to the side

  • Clearly mark:

    • Irrigation risers and ditches

    • Septic drain fields

    • Shallow piping areas

    • Any hazards or areas to avoid

Application Day

What to Expect:

  1. You will get a confirmation text a few days before delivery

  2. Reminder text the day before trucks arrive

  3. Morning arrival (typically) - application takes 15-20 minutes to several days, depending on field size and number of passes

  4. Completion text when your field amendment is complete

After Application

Irrigation Season:

  • Irrigate as soon as possible to help break down the Trub for soil absorption

Non-Irrigation Season:

  • No action required - the Trub will naturally break down

  • Optional: Use a pasture harrow to speed up assimilation

Normal observations post application:

  • Brown "crust" lines are normal - this organic matter will break down with rain or time

  • Occasional overlap areas may show temporary grass stunting or yellowing - these typically recover on their own

Planning Your Amendment Schedule

Annual Recommendations

We recommend no more than three passes per year per location without soil testing.

Special Project Timing

Field Renovation:

  1. a.     If you plan on heavily spraying your field, we recommend you do this before application

    b.     If turning the soil (tillage), we recommend two passes prior to tillage and one after tillage, prior to seeding. This ensures a well-blended soil profile preferable for seed growth.

    c.      If you plan on over-seeding or no-till seeding, apply the trub before seeding activities.
